Osnabrück – Porta Westfalica, 90 km, 4 days

This walk is a classic and an old one too: for more than 100 year, people are using it. The trail follows the crest of the Wiehengebirge, a low mountain range east of Osnabrück. From Osnabrück to the river Weser, the Wiehengebirge rises up from the surrounding pretty flat country as a small, wooded ridge. The trail is just 90 kilometers long. It's running through woods and along meadows and fields, avoiding motorized roads. The end is at Porta Westfalica on the river Weser. The European Long Distance Trail E11 uses this path.
